Citizens, elected officials, special interest groups, Native American tribal nations, and local, state, and federal agencies are encouraged to get involved by reviewing the information provided on this website, participating in public scoping, attending the public hearings for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement, and providing comments.

Public Scoping

The Air Force performed public scoping remotely, through May 2, 2022. The scoping materials remain available on the Documents page of this website.

Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)

The Draft EIS was released to the public on October 6, 2023. The Draft EIS can be downloaded from the Documents page of this website. The Air Force held two public hearings to provide the public with more information about this proposal and the environmental impacts disclosed in the Draft EIS. Public comments were accepted at both hearings.

The first public hearing was held at the Lion Hills Center (2331 Military Road in Columbus, Mississippi) on the evening of Wednesday, October 25, 2023. The second public hearing was held virtually on the evening of Monday, October 30, 2023.
